Depreciation report is the financial document of a strata corporation that it needs to account for all the common property components. It is a report of all the details needed for repairing or replacement for the next 30 years. It is known by several other names, such as contingency reserve funds or simply reserve fund study.
Why do you need it?
• It provides a brief account of current deficiencies as well as future capital expenditures along with their costs of your strata corporation
• It provides a clear-cut plan to prepare for the expenditures
Above all, provincial regulations mandate that each strata corporation must have a depreciation report by 14 December 2013.
